Written in November 2020, after i purchased a small plastic ukulele from a thrift store. This song i decided to release as a single as i feel it has the most accessible sound. There is a music video for this song that was released on my youtube channel.
lyrics
16 Days since I saw the sun
I turn around and I try to run
Every time I try, I hit the ground
I cast a looming crown
I bury my head in the sand
With the promise I don't know who I am.
I'm tryna' escape
this wretched place
I don't know where I'm gonna go
There's a little yellow place
That lights your face
(Of which I am below)
I cannot stop it
I cannot stop it
I can not kill these sullied
witches of which I must let go
Flies on your face, on your face
Pick at your skin
The face with the evil fucking grin.
16 Days since I saw the sun
I turn around and I try to run
Every time I try, I hit the ground
I cast a looming crown
I bury my head in the sand
With the promise I don't know who I am.
16 Days leading up to one
When it draws near, it goes to none
I am lost and cannot be found
It doesn't last, Ill be down
I bury my head in the sand
With the promise I don't know who I am.
Every time I try I hit the ground
Every time I try I hit the ground
